Equality … For Men?
We often hear of inequality towards women in jobs/film roles/rights etc, but, I beleive men are also lacking fair equality.
Take abortion for example, people say ‘Its the womans choice’ … Im sorry, but when I last checked, it took a man to create the child and HE has NO RIGHTS. When a marriage breaks down, 90%o of WOMEN keep the children, men get no say. If you look to the past, men fought in World War 1 and 2, and you never hear feminist say Thank You.
Female car insurance is cheaper because they are women… I could go on and on … most women are just hypocrites. The world worked much better when people had roles.
To the first comment.
Yes, because working in a factory is EQUAL to fighting in a war. Your not getting my point.
I understand your point, but unfortunately, arguing with many media-indoctrinated people is like arguing with a tree stump.
Look at the double standards we have:
If a 30-year old woman chooses to delay marriage, it’s because she wants to be independent.
If a 30-year old man chooses to delay, it’s because he doesn’t want to mature and is afraid of commitment.
Jokes about male prison rape abound in mainstream media, but if someone jokes about a woman getting raped, his sanity is questioned (and I am NOT condoning rape, it is truly a horrible crime, but why is it funny when it happens to a man?)
Men are expected to pick up the tab in dates — even if she’s a high earning engineer and he is a data entry clerk. Where’s the independent woman now? (The typical illogical argument: “Oh, it’s tradition!”).
Most men wouldn’t mind dating a woman taller than him, but she’ll be damned if she dates someone a half an inch shorter!
Women have the same oppurtunities men have. In most Western societies, they can vote, join the army, enter the workforce.
Motherhood is never forced on them. A woman is free to abort a child without even telling the father she was expecting (which is a disgustingly dishonest thing to do; it is the same thing as a man piercing his condom so his partner can get pregnant)
I think most women simply want the best of both worlds.
My take on the issue is a message to women: if you want to be independent, then suck up the responsibilities that come with it.
If strict physical entry requirements for a position or job (i.e. – firefighter) need to be “watered down”, then you cannot do the job!
